I was born from Ukrainian parents, they met in a DP (displaced persons) camp after WW2, dad had an aunt who sponsored him to come to the US, he got here started working and sent for Mom she got here and I was born 4 yrs later! They also taught me to speak Ukrainian, which is a Slavic, i.e., Russian, etc. language that I still talk to Mom in! Good Luck!
