I would have to say General Hospital. And yes, I love it.
General Hospital, the innovative, award-winning drama series, celebrated 43 years of broadcasting on April 1, 2006. General Hospital is the longest-running dramatic serial on the ABC Television Network, having aired its 11,000th episode on February 20, 2006, and is the longest-running Daytime drama produced on the West Coast. For the 2005 television season, the show won five Emmy Awards.
In April 2006, General Hospital made Daytime Emmy history - for the second year in a row - as the only Daytime drama to ever receive the prestigious Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama series a record nine times, seven times in the past 11 years (1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2005 and 2006). It had also garnered the Emmy Award as Outstanding Daytime Drama Series in 1980-81 and 1983-84. In 1993, the late Anna Lee (Lila Quartermaine) and the late John Beradino (Dr. Steve Hardy) received stars on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame for their work on the show. In the 40th Anniversary Special Edition of TV Guide, General Hospital was hailed as the "All-Time Best Daytime Soap." In March of 2000 it received the Favorite Daytime Serial award on the nationally broadcast Soap Opera Digest Awards for the fourth consecutive year. In addition, General Hospital has won the Directors Guild Award and the Writers Guild Award for Outstanding Achievement.

I'm not loyal to any particular soaps anymore. At present I can follow storylines in ATWT, Passions, OLTL, Days and GH. Sounds like a lot, but it really isn't much effort. The stories don't change much and they are pretty simple to understand. At the moment, Days is interesting because of the return of favorites Mary Beth Evans and Stephen Nichols in theirs roles as Kayla and Steve (Patch).

I would have to say the most popular is General Hospital. Yes I do like it. Although at the moment I am more into One Life to Live. Haven't been keeping up with GH lately. It depends on the story line. Sometimes some are better than others.

The Young And The Restless. They win best soap every year. My whole family has been watching it for years. If someone from my family has been gone for awhile they will come home and say, "What's Victor been up to?" We all laugh LOL! It's very good right now, too. I love that soap. ok, nicely I genuinely have fours cleansing soap operas that I watch faithfully. On all my infants my fave character is Kendall One existence to stay is Roxie, she is only too humorous for words. well-known scientific institution and this modification into stressful to easily %. one yet i could could desire to declare Sam and Maxie. those 2 are only misunderstood. and final yet no longer least is youthful and the under pressure. i like the Victor because of the fact he's intense and that i like that approximately him. sturdy question

I think the most popular is GH. If it weren't why would it win so many awards and why would I spend 36 years watching it?

I'm not sure which is the most popular, but my daughter watches passions and OMG it's the stupidest show I have ever seen lol

I'd say Young and the restless or All my children, all though i don't waste my time on either. I got enough drama in my life.

I like 'All My Children'.
Basically they are all pretty much the same--marriages, divorces, infidelity, back from the dead, etc. You get to know the characters and storylines--it's cheap entertainment.
