Sometime during high school days, thinking about how all miseries in the world are happening and how to stop it, the realisation that life is really precious. I personally escaped death many times in life at different situations. It took really many long years of study of spirituality, religions, environment, science, etc. to come the simple conclusion that life is a real gift, we have to live today, now! Nobody is capable of changing the world by the wave of a magic wand. We lost many gifted people all around world at very early age (exceptions are there). So, whether we laugh or cry, enjoy or suffer, we all will die one day. So, let us start smiling and thereby making our own life better while we may light up the day of somebody.

Last week, I realized how grateful I am for my life and health. I had a very close call on the highway with a moose. I came so close to hitting that moose. I thought about the result for me if I would have hit it. I am so lucky to be alive and healthy and well at the same time, I appreciate it very much. The next day at work, I work in customer service, when anybody asked me how I was today, I said to people all day, "Alive and well and appreciating it." And I truly meant it.

when my father died unexpectedly when I was a teenager. I have lived with this perspective ever since ... that any day could be my last day, or the last day of any person that I know and love. I try never to put off saying 'I love you' for a later day, since I might not get the chance again.
