By amniocentesis a long needle through thr abdomen to retrieve a sample of amniotic fluid. The fluid will contain the chromosomes that determine if it's a boy or girl. Also an ultrasound is done. If the child is large enough in the mothers womb the Dr. can run a sound wave imaging device over the mother to be's belly and the sound waves bounce off the object creating the image of the child.

Measuring the penis when it isn't erect is pointless, since the length and bulk are affected by various temporary factors, such as the ambient temperature. Even the largest male organ can shrink to virtually nothing if the man goes for a swim in cold water. However, at normal temperatures a non-erect p enis usually measures between 8.5 cm and 10.5 cm (3-4 inches) from tip to base.

The average figure is about 9.5 cm (3.75 inches). Of course, it's true that some men have big penises and some have smaller ones, just as some men have small feet and some have big feet, but the measurement is not – repeat not – an index of virility.

Morgan1cj is correct. The sex of the embryo is determined by the father's sperm. So, once again, we blame it all on the men!!
They say there is a 50-50 chance of it being boy or girl but you can just look at the father's family to determine the chances of a boy or girl.
With my hubby I was not surprised that we got a boy first. I was surprised when the next one was a girl. I thought it would take us a few tries.
Thank God, it didn't. He really wanted a girl.

By an ultrasound. They usually wait until the woman is 20 weeks along to get the best possible images. The baby has to be positioned correctly for the doctor to know. An amniocentesis will tell with 100% accuracy, but they don't do those unless it is necessary because sticking a needle in there isn't the best thing for the baby.

An ultrasound. It's like an X-ray camera that they move around on your belly to determine the sex of the baby. You can also view the baby moving and how long he/she is going to be. Some ultrasounds can now even detect what color hair your baby is going to have. Hope this helps!!

the sex of a child is determined by an ultrasound. the baby must be positioned correctly at the time of the ultrasound or you may not see any destinguishing parts at all. good luck w/ this.

either by ultrasound or amnioscentesis (where a small sample of amniotic fluid is taken from the womb) ... amnio is the most reliable, as they actually can tell whether the baby has two x chromosomes, or an x and a y

by an ultrasound...after about 5-6 months it can be determiend posibly earlier but it all depends on the positioning of the baby whether or not sex can be determined, there is some guess work involved

By the sex chromosome the father contributes when the egg is fertilized. All eggs (female sex cells) carry an "X" chromosome. Sperm may carry either an "X" or a "Y". They are manufactured in about equal numbers. If an "X" carrying sperm meets up with an egg, the baby is "XX", and that means girl. If a "Y" carrying sperm meets up with an egg, the baby is "XY", and that means boy.
