The world will always last, although we are now on the fast track to its verge of destruction. The seals are being broken. The conflict in Israel will unite the muslims, the ancient roman empire will rise (EU) to power, America and Great Britain will fall, then 3 and a half years later, just as mans armies meet in total conflict north of Israel. USA can beat any country, therefore, the chance of world war is remote. I am not aware of any scientific data about the life of earth. Chances are earth has long life. One thing if certain. We have to organize ourselves to preserve environment for future generations,

It depends on what you mean by the world. If you mean the planet earth, than another 3-5 billion years. If you mean humanity, its anybody's guess.

My best understanding of the cosmology is that the earth and solar system will be viable for at least the next one thousand five hundred million years.
