Marry him. For 6 months. And then take him to the cleaners. We'll use the money for that Jamaica trip we've been wanting!

Seriously. If you can't imagine living the rest of your life without him, marry him. If you can't imagine what you'd do if you had to spend the rest of your life with him- don't do it. Conversely- communicate this with him and allow him the opportunity to consider the same.

Best of luck, MJ!

Go with marriage if you do not trust your guy.

See marriage includes the security of getting some settlement in case of the relationship did not work out.

Go without marriage if you 100% trust your guy to never do anything to hurt you.

Marriage at the end of the day is just a contract, we shouldn't need contracts to safeguard true love.

Getting married rarely affects the committment of one to another. We are taught that to marry committment is necessary but people like my ex wife have made a mockery of the institution of marriage using it as a meanns of financial gain as opposed to beliefs of the sanctity of the bond represented by the unity of two committed people. I would rather have a committed one manwoman outside the bonds of matrimony and respect the total committment than to have a marriage of adultry. It is not the institution but the contents and feelings that are protected by it. It is too bad that one is no longer representative of the other. Our values are so screwed up now that marriage is no longer one of the items that a person is proud to voice in public but one is looked at like he/she is mentally deficient when they boast of marriage. Committment is the more valuable of the two if you as me.

A co-living arrangement relationship is saying, I really don't think that marriage will work out for us. For without marriage, we can just go out separate ways when we decide to. This implies mistrust in each other, and also mistrusting ourself.

My view is to stay get married...because man lives for others. When he is a child he lives for his parents and siblings, when he is a teenager, he lives for his friend, when married, he lives for his family, when he becomes a parent, he lives for his children, and when he becomes old, all the people named above want him to live among them....In essence its marriage thatz da seal the bond of togetherness !

If you are committing yourself to eachother why not make it legal. Depends on how serious you are about eachother. Are you afraid that someday you'll want to part ways therefore you won't have all the legalities of a divorce to contend with?
