you can remove it from yahoo mail by going to options and edit your name.and in messenger you can click on messenger menu and click on profile and create a new profile of name that you want to sent to user

When ever you fill out any form, you must invent some name you DO wnat to show!!! Everything you type on the Internet, stays on the Internet, for all to see!!!
In fact, whenever I install an OS on a computer (usually, about two or three each day!) I put an invented name, like 'client here', or,
something like 'Linux Geek' along with '1234 home street', etc.
This goes for ALL browsers, also! And, when you sign up for any web mail, use alias'!!! The weirdos will seek you out, so you NEED to protect yourself!
And, please, get the more secure, safe, virus free, hacker proof, OSes that are NEWER! That Microsoft XP is 8 years old, a virus magnet with 150,000 Microsoft Defined virus, trojans, exploits, bots, malware...
A modern OS can resemble the MAC OS X, is totally FREE for download, and contains ALL the drivers!

In options on the mail page enter preferences and change the reply to field.

depending on the email you are using, you can go to settings and change the option of sending your name in the emails.

if u use yahoo mail accpount you can go to http://us.f540.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Preferences?YY=75099
and change it
if u use another mail server
u should find an option like yahoo option to change ur outgoing name
