Dear fellow Indians,
I cannot seem to contain my anger that OUR Kohinoor is being put on the crown of Queen Elizabeth. I cannot seem to think why the Arabs are being credited for the Indian numerals. Why are Ayurveda herbs of India, said to be of China?All of you who thinks that all this is wrong, please comment. Our thoughts can make our country richer, more important and completely full of pride. Thank you

excuseme, Soccer and Preety. There are very few ppl who go about burning daughter-in-laws and making their daughters sit in at home till marriage. it happens only in the villages. there are over 90% ppl who dont do all that. just because of this, dont tell me that we dont deserve our credits. thats such a dumb reason. we have worked hard to make all these numerals and herbs, which make YOUR life better. we just HAVE to get credit for it.

ONE MORE THING.
some other country got his / her belongings from another country back, which was in their museum. Its high-time we get ours back too. Why arent Indian numerals called Indian numerals instead of Arabic numerals?

Soccer, SHUT UP. u dont even KNOW anything. India is and was the best civilisation ever. after whome exactly is one of the 5 Oceans named after, huh? And plus, Arab existed FROM Indian civilisation, namely , Harappan Civilisation. it seems YOU dont know much. you, in fact, need research. India used to trade with Arabia, who learnt our numerals, who in turn taught it to the British. The person who made the numerals was Aryabhatta.

I couldn't agree more. There are a lot of things the world owes India and the majority are completely oblivious about it...but i guess we can take action... by simply developing ourself and erasing misbelief.... WE"LL SHOW THE WORLD.Thats why i really like Lakshmi Mittal.....the best example of Brain drain. brain drain has its positive sides. i'm not denying the fact that he would have lesser earning had he centralized his company in India.. but HE SHOWED THE WORLD WHAT INDIANS CAN DO... its really cool that the richest Englishman now is AN INDIAN..
Here are a few more facts about Indias greatness (in the past).......
We practically invented maths....right from the so called "pythagoras' theorem'...the number zero, to writing numbers in powers of ten....and so on....
Plastic surgery originated from here....we made great contributions to astronomy and astro-physics (and continue to) we built great marvels of science (the iron pillar, the jantar mantar ....). some monuments are incrediblely difficult to built even by using modern day technology....ayurvedic medicine have a cure for almost everything
Most humans around the world were nomads whilst India was developing.
Our religions were scientific religions with most beliefs having a scientific reason behind them....contrary to the west where Science and Religion were are logger heads
"Newtons" and "Kepler's" laws were mentioned in the Vedas AGES before there were even born...
My answer's long enough so i'll stop here... I just hope that we'll develop and bring back the golden age we were enjoying soon...

U r right. India is a great country. We have slipped in the past 1000 years. But which ancient civilisation has not - Greece, Rome, Egypt? The 21st century is that of knowledge. And here, plus with the strenght of our young population, we be the the nation to watch. 21st century will be India's century. Nothing will stop India. There will definately be ups and downs on the way. But India will triumph.

well.......... poorva u noe u hav put up a really nice question . i think that our kohinoor is being put on the crown of queen elizabeth cuz its really that worth putting it on her crown and the thing that y the arabs are getting the credit for the indian numerals is that we the indians did not use our brains and made it reach to other countries as well as the arabs did and and and as far as the ayurvedic herbs go it is that when these chinese travellers they travelled all over india and so they got to noe abt these herbs and they also did the same, they had spread this in the world as we the indians cudn't do . so i think that its al our fault that we told abt our secrets to all these arabs, chinese , and europians . ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// well u noe poorva i am not that gud in answering such questions so u might feel that my answers are really dumb .
