Some how my Niece and my best friend just started watching fruits baskets, they won't stop talking about it. And for God on ice, when did anime become so d*** popular! It's gonna take over the world at this rate!

Well its a matter of opinion if you think fruits basket is good or not.I like fruitsbasket its good but there are better animes out there than that. I don't uderstand either why anime has began to be so popular lately...I remember back in the days when people didn't even know what anime was...I think it has to do with whole cartoon network/adult swim brainwashing..

I love Fruits Basket. It is so much more then just romance and drama. It hooks you in and gets you addicted. The characters are so real and you can relate to how they feel. It's a real touching story. The anime isn't as great as the manga. I would even like it more if Tohru ended up with Yuki...... but it still is good. All the drama is so exciting. If you don't like the anime i understand try reading the manga instead, It gets you hooked but everyone has different tastes so whatever i won't say anything bad about you cuz u dont' like it unlike my cuz Jenjensohma! I'll yell at her 4 you. And she is wrong! YUKI IS MINE! HARU TOO!

Because it has a little bit of everything: drama, angst, comedy, action... Not only that, but the characters are really complex. Those of us that love the anime/manga really feel a connection with the cast. I admit, I was quite wary when I decided to buy the box set because it just seemed way too cutesy for my taste, but after watching the first episode I knew my fears were unfounded. Despite first appearances, it's actually a very deep, and sometimes disturbing story.

I think it's really the eclectic cast of characters. They're all so different and unique yet put together, they're simply hilarious! I really think this show is the funniest/best/most emotional one I have ever seen.
A lot of people I recommend it to don't really like it because they don't have the patience to go past the first five episodes or so. I really think once you hit the 8th episode (the one that I cried a whole bunch over), you'll really like it. But that's just a matter of what's your taste.

That show is about as addictive as crack. Seriously, though, I really love it because the character development is amazing, the story is good, it's got a little bit of every genre (comedy, drama, action, etc.), and it's just plain adorable. That anime brings out all of the girliness in me.
...Well, that and it has hot guys.

You know what? I hate that anime too. It's too weird. But it's still a bit interesting but i don't like it. Especially Tohru. I really hate her big eyes. That's all. Don't think bad of me. I am actually an anime and manga lover.

I think a lot of the characters are funny or just plain weird. It gave me a good laugh. It is also sometimes serious. But it's not my favorite.

i don't like it anymore! i stopped reading it after i found out that the girl doesn't end up with yuki. plus it's starting to drag too.. so i just wasted about $60... i hate it and i hate naruto! it's cool and all but the voices suck! the jap version is so better(sorry if offends)

i have never saw that show.but if you want them to see other anime try digimon(even though not much still like the show but i do)or naruto(my whole schhol and me love that show)
