Does honesty really pay?Whenyou tell the girl the real truth 9 out of 10 u will be misunderstood why? why? why?

Here are three reasons (there are others depending on the situation):
Sometimes people just get used to bad experiences and end up creating their own. More often, people don't appreciate the truth. Sometimes the truth has to be applied gently.

Most of the time people are not open to honesty even if it is for their best interest to listen to it. They think you have a secret agenda or something. I think there is a way in which it can be done but it maybe the approach that you are using when telling her the truth. I know I like to be honest all the time and come off as not because of timing. Just before you do tell her something that is going to be direct, just tell her just like this question....many times I am misunderstood and I hope what I am about to say it will be my honest opinion and that you will not take it the wrong way. This way she will know it is serious to you and she will not ignore the things you are saying.

Because most people would rather hear a "white lie" than to hear the ugly truth.
I agree, I get penalise for being honest all the time too. I'm still annoyed that people around me expect to hear flowery made up words. Nobody really wants to hear the truth.

in my experience, esp dealing with the opposite sex is that its because they've been lied to and have been played games with often in the past. So the truth seems like a front, that many others have done to them before.

There arnt many people out there who are prepared to be honest abou themselves. Thats the kind of society we live in.

Being honest is wonderful as long as it doesn't hurt someone's feelings. There's a fine line between being honest and being uncompassionate.
