President Bush was a jet pilot in the National Guard. He seems to think it was a worthwhile experience. Mr. Bush is an accomplished and admirable man. He has an excellent wife. My guess is that the son would want to be just like his dad. I think President Bush would encourage his son to make the best of his life, where ever that may take him. All of the military in Iraq are volunteers. The son, if he were in the military, would be a volunteer and subject to deployment. Would President Bush encourage him to go to Iraq? Ask him. Most parents would not encourage their children to go to war. If the son were old enough to be in the military, he would be old enough to make up his own mind.

Of course not, President Bush avoided Nam, if he had a son he would not have to go to war either. You may have noticed that the sons of the rich don't go to war, they are not required to, it's the American way, that's why I laugh when I hear that superman slogan, truth, justice, and the American way. Capitalism at it's worst.

hmmm... tough question... I dont think so... until he became president cuz then all americans would expect him to have his son go into the armed forces. I think the whole world got lucky that bush never had a son.

No, No Way, No how, not ever, never. He would have sent his son to some preppy college and then he would have landed a primo job with Haliburtan and continued the legacy of cowardice.

no way he would do what 98% of conservatives did and keep the kids from signing up .SPORT car and truck sales climed for the first couple of years of the war.THESE were pay offs to kids who mentioned wanting to fight for america in conservative homes and they reached into the old nest egg and college enrolement rose sharply too . all you have to do is look at what drives human nature and you will see the truth .

Yes of course he would. Why would you think otherwise.
He is just an American as the next guy. He loves his country just as much as anyone else in that country.

I admire him. I am fully confident he will do the right thing.

It is not fashionable to bash him. It appears to be the flavor of the day.

I don't think he would. He could encourage his daughters to, but I don't imagine that he has. He and most other pro war people want other people's kids to fight this war. They don't want their own kids in harm's way.

Have you served.....huh? It is easy to criticize someone else, but have you served your country....I would like everyone who posted above me to say why......I think this country is great because you don't have to serve in the military, but don't complain because someone didn't make his kids join. If you aren't willing to serve also then shut your mouth
