I'm looking for the title of a movie about killers that think a blind boy saw a murder thru a window?

I have two things that leap to mind, and I am sorry, as I don't have titles for either one. If one of them sounds like it's the right one, please add that in details, and I can try and track down the title.

One was an episode of an American police drama. I just remember that a little boy was at a piano lesson, and at some point discovered that the piano teacher had been killed (I am sorry, I don't remember if he found her after she left him for a few minutes and then didn't return, or if his parent found the teacher when they came to pick him up). I remember that the police determined it was done from the back yard, and that the boy's parents did not want him helping the police in any way. Somehow, the killer or killers realize that there was a child in the house, and start looking for him.

The other one I remember is a foreign film I saw within the last year, though the film itself is several years old. I know it's a foreign film because I remember my huband was trying to sleep while I was watching it, so I restarted it with the subtitles on and the dubbed English soundtrack off and watched it like that. I don't remember where the film was made, but I know it was originally released in Europe. Basically, this little boy is out playing with some friends, and they go by the house of an adult with whom he is friends. I don't remember if the adult is giving him piano lessons, or if he just likes to come by and play the piano at the adult's home. His friends move off down the street and are gone. The piano is by a window, and as he is playing, he is looking out the window because he likes something about the light, either sunlight on his face, or he can sort of see light and shadow, but nothing else. Some men commit a murder in the street outside, and as they are leaving, one of them looks up and sees the child in the window, and thinks they have been seen, and they decide to come back and take care of him later. My memory of the film is sketchy because I was kind of sleepy and dozed a bit while watching it. I know that at first the boy doesn't realize anything happened, but later he recalls some sound or other that helps him identify the killers when they come for him. I also remember that when they go to the apartment of the adult with the piano, you don't see what happens, but then the adult ends up at the bottom of some stairs, and it looks like he or she fell, only the little boy is putting things together in his mind, and knows that something weird is going on, and he cannot seem to convince any adults about it. I just remember that at the end, there is some sound that identifies the killers, and helps the little boy run and hide from them, and in the meantime, some adult has put some clues together, and finally believes the little boy, and also goes looking for him while he is hiding.

I do apologize, as I realize this is not much help as it is, but I hope with a little more information, I can help you track it down if it is, indeed, one of the things I am thinking about.

Well, there is the Musical "Tommy" and there's a 1949 movie called "The Window" other than that I can only think of the Harrison Ford film, but that boy was Amish, not blind. Now you have me curious! Curse you! :)
