I would first go to a dermatologist to find out if they can give you any special products that can help reduce the appearance of acne and determine your skin type. You should always wash your face with oil free cleaner, then after washing the face make sure you use a moisturizer that contains SPF 15 for your skin. Make sure you wash your face before going to bed at night, and you may try sleeping with a satin or silk pillow so that it will not absorb the oils on your face while you sleep. Always take your make-up off at night using an astringent or toner. ( I use Vaseline to remove eye make-up b/c it works just as good). Also, I hear that proactive really does work, but I've never used it myself.
Also, I remember when I was a a teenager, my grandmother told me to wash with chamomile tea every night to rid acne and it worked for me! I I boiled the tea bags and washed with it every night before I went to bed. I did it every night for about 3 or 4 months and it was gone.

You need to use products that are made for your skin type. A really good line is Velocity by Mary Kay. Some friends of mine use these products and have had seen significant results:
Step 1: Velocity Facial Cleanser
Step 2: Blemish Control Toner
Step 3: Acne Treatment Gel
Step 4: Velocity Lightweight Moisturizer
If you don't know of a Mary Kay consultant in your area, you can find all of the products listed on the website below.

Depending on the severity of your problem I would recommend the following;
Acne: Glycolic acid based products. Eg. MD Formulations are fab
Oily skin and spots: you need a gentle cleanser such as Sheishido's Pureness range. Anything agressive will worsen the problem. Cleanser, tone and moisturise twice a day then use a mild exfoliator (they have one in the Pureness range) three times a week.
Remember to drink loads of water as well to dilute the toxins in your system. This will help to purify your skin.
Protect your skin from the sun although some exposure can really help and oily skin.
Good luck and I'm sure you will get there.

I have the same problem and I have tried just about every skin care system known to mankind and womankind. The only one that I have found that really works is Proactive.
You can try it cheap too. I got the 30 day trial kit for $19.95.
Go to www.proactive.com.
The soap is liquid and has granules in it to exfoliate, followed by a toner/astringent and then a light lotion that is not pore clogging.
It has not been a miracle cure for me, but has worked far better and is much cheaper than the others.
I don't wear a whole lot of makeup so I can't give you much advice there. If I do wear it I use oil control or oil free foundation like Revlon Age Defying Light Mousse. It is sheer and light but gives coverage. Then I use bronzer and powder blush and blend it in so it is even.
I would not tell you to waste your money on stuff that does not work bcz I have wasted too much of it myself.

Hold consuming the water like its faith. "Bijore" strips relatively do work at eliminating black heads and minimizing pores over time. You can also need to use a combination of lotions to fix all of the issues. I recommend Ponds dry dermis cream on the dry areas and L'Oreal pure zone on the oily ones. You can even want to for go the makeup for a while.. One other necessary trick is after washing your face at night, put some vitamin E oil everywhere your face even the oily spots (straight out of the tablet) before mattress. Use a pillow that you do not care about for the reason that it is sticky. You will have to be looking fine very quickly in any respect.

i have the exact same complexion as you. what works for me is proactive solution, but if you need something stronger than go to a dermatologist. proactive has a five-piece set that comes with a moisturizer. the foundation/ concealer that I've found works best for oily/ acne prone skin is bare essentials. its made up of pure minerals and has no sent or artificial stuff in it. its so pure you can sleep in it. bare essentials also has a bronzer, blush, eye shadows, and lip colors..so they have you covered. you can buy this at sephorah.

Cetaphil cleansers and moisturizers are dermatologist recommended for acne prone skin. I would add a toner before moisturizing. Clinique and cheaper brands like covergirl make foundations w/ acne fighting medications.

proactive is really great. it neutralizes your skin so your body doesn't produce as much oil. you may want to go to a natural path see if you have any food allergies that are causing excess oil. but the proactive does work, and it feels really nice.
