If you grant terrorists what they want, they won't stop their attacks, but continue them in hopes that they will continue getting what they want. Take it as a power struggle for example. Hitler, when negotiating with the allies, got what he wanted. But did he stop his path for conquest? No. Instead, it emboldened him and he continued attacking other countries, and eventually, almost conquered all of Europe. If actions weren't taken against Hitler, he may as well be ruler of the world now. Well, same things with terrorists. If you grant them want they want, they will continue to fight on until they are stopped. And the only way to stop them is NOT by negotiation, but force. Think about it, they've blown up embassies, a battleship, marine baracks, train stations, buses, flew planes into Towers and they still haven't stopped. They will never stop to negotiate and they will never stop their attacks until they are stopped by the only way that can stop them; using force.

Terrorists (Mainly the Middle Eastern variety) see negotiation as a weakness. While their representative is sitting in front of you negotiating, they are just buying time for the rest of the group to plan it's next attack. That's the way extremism works. Until you can convince every one of them that their views on religion are skewed, we'll continue to be required to fight them. They won't quit until we're all dead, and we won't be rid of violence against us until they're all dead. Now you see the conundrum.

Give them what they want you've got to be delusional. What they want is to destroy ANYONE who does not agree with them (the muslim extremists) Sometimes you have no other choice vanquish evil. Israel gave up land and still gets attacked because they want more. They have a right to protect their sovereignty.
