Unfortunetly there is not an answer to your question.
It doesn't matter who calls protective services on you, be it your own child or a store clerk, there will be an investigation. Do not let other people sway you from spanking your child if spanking works for them.
Find what shows your child that what he/she did was wrong. If it is spanking or grounding, you will find the answer.
For my family, my real mom beat us black and blue and we never took her seriously. My step mom found out that my brother did not like to write sentences. My dad pat our butts twice if we did something wrong but he was a very strong man and I fear doing bad because if my dad spanked us it was because we did something wrong. Of course when I got older, I was grounded and he took the car. I was a very good girl after him taking my car the first time.
Good Luck

There is no way to get out of trouble with the law. Someone else will see, or you will end up killing them.
And what's worse even yet - is someone else can even get in trouble with the law for beating yours.

If you are a good parent, you won't need to beat them. That is wrong. My son does very well when we put him in the corner. Usually all I have to do is tell him to stop or he is gonna go in the corner. If they are older, make them write a letter telling everything that they did bad that day. They really hate that.

Doing something like that is wrong and unnecessary. Children do not need to be physically or mentally hurt in any way to learn a lesson.

go out in the yard and tell him/her to pick the stick you are gonna use and give it to em... (inside the house) if they are still young enough for you to spank, then they dont know what the law is. if they do, then find a better form of punishment(i suggest taking away things that are near&dear to them). good luck.

In this society the law is vauge about beating your kids. If its needed do it hard enough where it hurts but soft enough where it won't leave marks. (marks = troule)
