They havent called it open war yet, they havent declared it, but the people are calling it war, on both sides.
Iran sent a hundred or so troops over last night to aid hezbolla in firing missiles at Israel's naval ships.
As it sits Hezbolla started this scuffle. They threatened Israel, kidnapped some of their army personel, declared they would engage in open war, and then fired missles.
Israel has only been retaliating thus far, and very strongly at that. Theyre ready to take down Hezbolla.
Hezbolla is a known terrorist group, they are NOT part of the labanese government, in fact, they have been a constant threat to that country, but the government itself is too weak to topple them.
There have ben discussions at the UN yesterday between lebanon and israel, NOT hezbulla. Israel is seeking a green light from lebanon, who naturally is taking offense for the sake of their people. Dispite the fact that israel has been giving warning before fire fights for the sake of civilians, something hezbolla hasnt done.

The Palestinian terrorists kidnapped an Israeli soldier 3 weeks ago (Gil'ad Shalit) and killed some more. Israel declared that the state will do anything to get Gil'ad back but releasing Palestinians prisoners (all of them are murderers). The Palestinians started to get nervous, since they realized that they're not getting what they want, so this week they killed 8 Israeli soldiers and kidnapped two more. The Israelis became sick of this and they saw it as a war announcement so they entered to Lebanon in order to hurt the Hizbullah's posts.
Hizbullah is responding by bombing north of Israel and hurting civilians. as for now, 2 Israelis were killed by the bombs: a grandmother and her 5 years old grandson.
and the war goes on...

Hezbollah, backed by Syria and Iran are stirring up trouble. This is to distract for international condemnation of Syria's interferrence in Lebanon's politics and Iranian efforts to become a nuclear nation, if not develop its own nuclear weaponry.

Regional war could erupt within 72 hours... regional war could erupt within 72 hours... regional war could erupt in 72 hours...
Think about it. Regional war engulfing Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel. Has the rubicon been crossed yet?

Maybe we should just carpet bomb (but with Nukes) that whole area...how much would that cost? Bet that would cost trillions...it's just a though I wondered about...would it justify the spending in the long run...I mean how much will we spend over the next few years on these nations to try to keep them stable?
