Two reasons, the rich know what they would be missing and the rich reinvest in the economy making it stronger and subsequently making more money. Oh yeah the money goes to charity as well to help the poor and developin countries

Because filling the tummy is not an issue for the rich, but maintaining their cool status and social image by being seen
in the the hottest designer clothes, having their house stand out elegantly wherever it is located, and catchin up with the rest
of the jet-set crowd gradually becomes very important for the
rich. Its somewat like peer pressure.
Luxury becomes a habit and then a necessity.
Poor people have little needs coz' even their basic needs are
fulfilled with so much difficulty, that they cant think beyond
food, cloth and shelter.

Because there's not enough for the rich to fulfill their desire (and greed, not every rich person's I should state), and as for poor, few (well-to-do or rich) people tend to care about them...and also as they:
Unfortunately the world doesn't listen to the weak and the poor, but to the rich n powerful!

Because the rich are greedy . And hopefullly well go to hell. The poor cant do a damn thing about it. But poor isnt lower class anymore. Its middle class. The welfare bastards have more than me . I work my *** off , and have no health insurance. The black family down the street has health care and welfare. And dont work , and have an escalade. Im not racist , its just that the rich make them have an easy life and me a total crap life. Sorry didnt really answer your quest

Because the poor are rich in spirit and seek not righteous possessions, but that of righteous thoughts and deeds.
I would guess that the rich are motivated by the same self-interest that drives mammals to survive.
The real questions is which is more evolved?

The rich don't need, they WANT. The poor are content with what they have, the necessities of life.It is a matter of contentment, we're talking about here.There is a big difference between wants and needs. God provide for all out needs. Our wants, we don't always get.

well it is simple answer because poor dont have enough to spend. otherwise their need is more than rich person
