Ask the Palestinians. Israel capitulated to much, so they have to fight those that want Israel's destruction now.
Land for Peace didn't work out for the Lakota so I don't know why Israel thought it would work for them.

To be honest with you it depends what side of the political fence you sit. Some would argue that the long persecuted Jews have returned to their homeland to reclaim their country and their birthright and have every right to defend their land and peoples to the death! However you could equally look at it as the Palastinians have been persecuted in their own lands and have every right to defend their own birthright and lands from these Jewish settlers. Whi is right and who is wrong?? The main point is that when other countries with their agendas and policies insist on interfering there will never be a solution as that is not in their interests. I guess you could say the more people get involved the more complicated it is and the more impossible to solve it gets,

The funny thing seems to be no matter what Israel does the US president supports it, either democrat or republican.
I wonder what their response would be if they nuked someone.
Why couldn't the UN have given the Jewish people a country in the South Pacific or the Caribean?? in stead of the middle east.

Israel has a way better life for common folk then those of palenstein and others. Don't be stupid. Israel is a civilized country. Palestine is full of shanty towns. Poor families. The government, which they voted in is a terrorist group, and they are suffering the consequences of voting in Hamas. They chose it. So what Israel is doing, is seeming to work. So please, get an education.
