Yes, news is whatever the media decides it is. Why do they all agree with each other though?

Actually, the newspapers you read are just pulling stories from other sources and publishing them.
If you look at the sources where the stories come from, you'll see that.
A hometown paper does publish local news, but it usually has a few articles pulled off the web or some other source already published.
What bothers me about the news in newspapers and on tv, is that they report the same stories for DAYS in a row.
Now that's annoying.

i don't understand the place you're from, yet in my place, the newspapers are crammed with sensational information daily. Even what could be a ordinary twist of fate is provided so dramatically, raising various intense questions, that one wonders if the innovative journalists could have performed extra desirable as legal experts and earned extra without working after information spots! And our legislators are very dynamic adult men throwing one or different sensational 'leak' concerning to the shady deals of their counterblasts in potential, or putting forward some agitation for some reason daily - they are eloquent ones who could make a colorless challenge exciting to the main lazy ones - that our journalists do no longer fail to capitalise on those human beings whilst no longer something significant seems to circulate around. additionally they have specific pages for the eternal pastimes of gossip concerning to action picture artists, in the back of the scene dramas of politicians, activities stuff and all. additionally scientific articles captioned to capture the readers with all form of issues, the enigmatic astrology that by no potential says something specific yet shooting interest of assorted readers, a lot of those supply a assisting hand to the papers! So there is often some exciting stuff. additionally they get into association with maximum advantageous distant places papers to republish articles of eminent critics on modern-day importance, that known out of the country. I continuously marvelled how various newspapers in English and local languages could desire to thrive for see you later and likewise throw possibilities for extra moderen ones to emerge on and stale besides!

Nice one. It's what they miss out on a busy news day that matters, not the gossip that fills it up on a slow day.

It's even more amazing how much crap gets printed in the place of something which might actually be interesting or beneficial.

Have you noticed that there has been more and more non-news in the U.S. lately? "News" about celebrities' babies and advertorials taking space previously used for crime or economic development should be a clue that we aren't seeing fair and balanced reporting.
