growing honey dew melons?

how do tell when a honey dew melon is ready to pick?any helpful websites?how to tell when ripe?this is my first year growing honey dew melons!actually it was by accident when i was drying my catalope seeds they got mixed in when the wind blew with my catalope seeds that i always dry a my own seed and grow!

I'd have to thump your melons a few times to see if they were ready to eat...
