true love is not selfish.....so, if letting go is what's best for the person you love....then you let go.

Sometimes a little of both , because true love is not selfish ..... We hold on when we need to and let go when we need too. but true love is different for each person , so holding on for some may be letting go for others... A.B.

True love is knowing when you should hold on and when you should let go. If you don't know - you don't love.

For me its holding on. Because I know that will eventually be better for me and the girls future. My act of letting go may seem heroic but that would especially endanger the future of the one I truly love by making her life vulnerable to a mediocre life by ending up with someone who is not me. I am that someone who loves her more than anyone will ever will. With me I know she will get the best so if I truly love her it is my responsibility to hold on and ensure a good future, especially a good future of her...if all this makes any sense at all. This is what I believe in and always will.

True love is in doing whatever is best for both sides. What you should look for is not short term pleasure but long term happiness. If letting go is a short term pain but long term relief then let it go.

Nothing in this world is permanent, everything fades with time but true love is keeping love in ur heart and letting the materialistic things go.

Holding on is keeping you happy. Letting go is making them happy. True love is letting go, unless you love yourself more!

They say that true love gives you wings so I think it means that you can fly but still feel security knowing that someone is holding you, thinking of you and loving you even whens its far away.

Sometimes it`s letting go. I mean I truly love my husband and I want to hold on to him forever. But, if one day, he discovered his place wasn`t beside me, I would let him go in order for him to find happiness.
Sometimes, loving someone is letting them go even if you know you`ll die without them...

True love is like a game of cards: "know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to turn and walk away" !
