the indians that lived in el salvaor before the europeans came i know is not maya i saw national geographic and mayans only reached to guatemala im salvadorian i already know about some family that came from spain but i know nothing about the native americans

Yes, there were mayas in some small areas of El Salvador, but mainly there were pipiles, chortis, uluas and lencas (family of mayas). In El Salvador we can find among others "Joya de Cerén", and "Ruinas del Tazuimal".

they were the pipils........they were decendetns of the toltecs and spoke nahuatal like mayans and the aztecs and the mayans did reach el salvador ....go to wikipedia.org and type in MAYAN and it will gove u a lot of information

they were Choris, Pipiles, Lencas and the Uluas.
