I don't think my dad expects anything from me as we talk all of never. Ok every once in a blue moon. The funny thing is I am persuing the same career path as him. My whole family has the same hobby. Emergency services. But NO I dont care what he expects I do what I want.

I've gained a lot of wisdom through conversations with and observing my Dad.
I enjoy having a "good name," and letting my Dad know about it.
I enjoy my accomplishments, and letting my Dad know about it.
I enjoy it when he tells me he's proud of me.
I do pretty much whatever I want to do. Good career, and good credit helps me to do a lot of it.

Yes , I do because I love him. But I also have a mind of my own and able to discuss things with him rationally.

i really don't care what my dad expects of me because he wasn't really there for me or he wasn't in my life much

nope...
i inherit (which is unavoidable) his strength and also his weakness.. his passions and his disappointments..
but i also have my own strenth and my weakness.. my own passions and dissapointments..
and so will be my kids..
so it's kinda a lesson.. but in the end.. we are on our own..
