What exactly is the problem? Is it that you'd like her as a best friend? You should simply work on getting closer to her. Don't be clingy, but make an effort to be friendly, open, know her interests and let her know yours. If you've been making a lot of effort and she shows clear disinterest, it could be time to find some other friends. However, if she already considers you at least a friend, it's progress. Keep at it, be there for her if she ever needs you, keep her trust at all costs. Good luck.

Nowadays is there a difference between normal friend and best friend. I would just treat him/her as a normal friend and we should joke and get together as usual. You can only treat them as close friends if they are willing to help you without any conditions when you are having problems or troubles. That is the type of friend we should be looking for

Relationships of any kind should be balanced. She's probably the type of person who sees everyone as equal and treats them that way. People normally tend to act the way they want to be treated so just treat her like a friend.

I know how you feel. She is your best friend you would like to go to cinema with her, to malls, share thoughts and secrets. And although you might do all of this together you know that she has other friends that she consideres as her best. For example when you are talking she says sth like "My best friend Sarah told me..". and you feel stupid cuz she is a best friend for you. I have similar situation and all i can tell you is to hang out with her, but meet other girls and boys. Stop putting friends in categorie, just spend time with them and have fun.

Treat her as she treats you. And err on the side of caution; i.e., allways be nice etc.
