is there really that much difference between a man's nipple and a woman's nipple

Who knows. As far as I am concerned they could walk around topless. The less significance placed on it the less people will see it as something to be afraid of.

Personally for me, I think it depends on the age of the child first of all.

If they are 10+ I don't think they should be looking at naked people weather it is a man or a woman.

And it depends on what woman you mean in this, as a mother or an aunt or a grandmother or a sister or a total stranger?

I don't think it is right for a child to see strange woman naked after that age, because children pick up very fast and they tend to imitate things.

Now for example if my daughter gets used to seeing topless woman in the end she would grow up feeling like it is all right to go running around topless.

It is very hard to judge but there is a huge difference between a naked breast of a woman feeding her newborn and a naked breast of a woman who wants to seek men's attention.

Children are like sponge they take in alot of stuff and no caring parent would want there children to look at streetwalkers.

There are alot of cases of child-molestation and pre-teen pregnancies and that didn't just happen overnight, it has been years of influence in what they see around them, and in TV and ads.

To me that is more impotent then worrying why people get upset over a naked breast.

I was actually doing some research on this topic recently.

I found a source that discussed how, prior to the advent of swimming suits in the mid-1800s, most swam naked.

Less than 100 years later, 1930s, in New York men risked being arrested by wearing only swimming trunks at the beach (as full-body wear was custom by then).

Contemporarily we look at this last bit and think ... how odd. Hopefully our views regarding "appropriate" clothes continue to evolve and people realize just how silly it is to require women to wear covering over their nipples.

It's a cultural thing: certain cultures are more prudish than others. In Europe, nobody cares. Breasts and breast feeding (a non-sexual display of the breast) draw about as much attention as a fly on the wall. In North America (in Canada - I am recalling a certain incident concerning breast cancer victim photo's in a calendar where proceeds were given to research/victims of the disease), all hell is likely to break loose - and did! Even the scar tissue of mastectomy patients - the subjects all being very noble and beautiful women- are sexualised in this anal-retentive culture. I couldn't believe the level of stupidity surrounding me and quit my job with the stationary company in protest.

Only a few get scared seeing anything Big, Ugly, Dark centered.
Most automatically want to cling, fondle, as it gives them great
comfort, thinking of their own mothers breasts.

Mans nipples is like window shopping.Just see & go.

Womens nipples are are the real works. They are the Capitals of the region of the Breasts. And they are so diciplined that they stand AT ATTENTION & ERECT every time the master comes.

Furthermore, why are breasts considered, "a private part?"

They aren't on men, but on women, they are... Why? Just because women's are big? That's no reason...

Please ignore the Bible diatribe. I agree. All humans have breasts.
Breasts are not evil. Some folks are just prudes.
