I was rooting for them, but after the dirty trick played on Zidane I think they should be disqualified.
The insult to Zidane was obviously designed to make him react aggressively and if possible to get him thrown out of the game, which is what happened.
It is the lowest of the lowest blows (especially to someone of a Mediterranean culture) to suggest/insinuate things about the female members of his family. An Italian knows that and they used it effectively. This was 100 percent premeditated.
Zidane could have reacted in many violent ways, but he showed remarkable restraint by doing it the way he did, in a controlled and calm manner.

I'm happy for Italy, but I don't like what Materazzi did and I feel sorry that Zidane's career had to end with a headbutting incident.

i'm not. hard to live with but italy did take home the trophy, not much we can do about it. heard though it seems to want to leave their hands already, lol. didn't anyone hear? the cup broke!!! apparently slipped from cannavaro's hand and took a dive. italians had to glue it back together. laughed my *** off at that bit of news. shallow i know but man that felt good! lol

very annoyed.. italy got to the top through cheating and playing very dirty. between the two finalists, france totally deserved this Cup.
