For Norway it is oslo. During the winter months snow covers Norway during those 3 months and can occasionly cause those temperatures to fall below freezing point. During the Summer Months the temps are warmer and better but sometimes the temps can fall below 15* celcius but not below 10*. The capital of Greenland is Nuuk but i formely know it as Godthab. During the Winter Months the average temps are below 0* (Freezing point) and snow is common and frost. During the Summer months the Average temps are around a cool 10* but snow is rare and the sun sets very late during the day.

Oslo, capital city of Norway and seat of Oslo County (with which it is coextensive) and of Akershus County. It is on the Aker River, at the head of Oslofjorden, in the southeastern part of the country. Oslo is the largest city, leading seaport, and principal commercial, manufacturing, and cultural center of Norway. Major products include ships, electrical and electronic equipment, chemicals, textiles, processed food, wood and metal items, machinery, and printed materials. Government activities and tourism are also important to the city’s economy.
Population (2002 estimate) 783,829.

Nuuk, formerly Godthåb, administrative capital and largest city of Greenland, located at the entrance of the Godthåbsfjord (Bay of Good Hope) on the southwestern coast of the island. Nuuk's ice-free harbor helps support an extensive fishing industry. Principal fish products, processed primarily for foreign export, include cod and halibut. Nuuk is a cultural and educational center; Greenland's first and only university, the University of Greenland (1974), is here. A scientific station and oil- and gas-storage facilities are also located in the city.
Population (2001 estimate) 14,000.

Nuuk seems to be the capitol (note the correct spelling unless you are referring to economic value) city of Greenland but it has a Danish name also - Godthab. I always used to think that Thule, Greenland was the main city but now I see it was only a northern staging point for explorers on their way to the North Pole. Its native name is Qaanaaq up at about 76 degrees north latititude. Greenland is a colony of Denmark, not Norway, and is a large piece of ice-covered land, often contrasted with Iceland, which is a small piece of geothermally active green space. Everyone knows that Oslo is the capitol of Norway and a frequent port of call for U.S. Navy ships on visits.
