holla at everybody that watches "what not to wear". they suggest NOT wearing a huge top with no shape to it, because it only makes you look bigger. find a top that has a brighter color or a busier print at the bustline to draw the attention up. remember also that right under the bra line is the smallest part of your midsection. try finding a shirt with a line or a bright seam there. it will bring the attention away from your real waistline, to the much smaller line above it. and one other thing, get pants that fit! nobody likes the "muffin top". you know, the part of your gut that everybody gets when the top of their pant is too tight? that will totally not help the situation.

I suggest you wear big flairy shirts and a big belt that hangs low in the front. You also can buy a girtle and start doing some crunches after the first couple of days you stomach muscles contract so it may hurt a little, that is when you know it is working. You can also try going on the atkins diet for a week to see if you like it it works my sister used to weigh about 350lbs and she was on the atkins diet for a short period of time and she is about 225lbs. If you drink soda stop that is a big priblem for your stomach it bloats it,drink diet caffeine free soda only. I wish you lots of luck with that you will do whatever you need to do if you want to lose the gut, another thing is that our bellys still have alot of waste in it from years and years a colonic can clean you out and it gets rid of alot of the belly fat.Good Luck! And no matter what do not be ashamed of your body,be ashamed that it is unhealthy. See Ya!

Eliminate sugars from your diet. Eat smaller portions. Eat more fiber. Do not eat past 9:00 pm and make sure to eat breakfast. Keep your carbs down. Eat more whole grains and less pasta. Eat low fat meats and more seafood. Eat slowly and stop when you feel full... you don't have to finish everything on your plate. Drink diet soda and more water. Replace at least 3 meals a week with salads.

This is sound advice and you'll see the benefits in no time and you won't be hungry. No joke.

When some people gain weight the first place it goes is in the middle. You can get those hold-em-in pants and think about your diet in the short term.
What I dislike about weight gain is nothing fits and you really get a bad self image.
Start walking and limit the amount of fat in your diet. It will take time but with clothes in your wardrobe you can't fit into anymore you sound like you have the motivation to do it.
Good luck.

What I can suggest is that maybe you get as much exercise as time allows. Cruches worked for me, although the effect isn't permanent and you have to keep on doing them to keep in shape, just like any other kind of exercise. In the meantime, try A-line cuts, tunics, or anything with an empire waist. Ironically, some maternity clothes can actually be really flattering. You could try it, if you're worried.

Tummy tucker panties?
Try an Ace bandage wrapped really tight.
Learn to love the belly, and buy maternity clothes. If anyone asks you're due in a few months. Everyone loves pregnant women.

While diet and excersie are the way to go- while you're getting there you could try wearing structered jackets that are tailored- like blazers- you want to look for structure that's the key point...otherwise don't wear shirts that will draw attention to your middle section or that are too tight- layers might also help.

Stay away from fried foods! Start eating six small meals, instead of three big meals. The six small meals will constantly keep your stomach active therefore burning calories(fat). Eat more fruits also. -progress! Oh yeah, and exercise, walks, bike; pick up a hobby, gardening, home maintenance, etc. -peace.
