Also my female friend drinks a lot. Most men I know drink a lot. Is that normal? Do most people like to drink a lot of alcohol?

My female friend drinks at least 6 beers a night. Men I know might drink a 12 pack in 1 night.

Two people I know they got DUIs, because they went to the bar instead of drinking at a friends house.

Which men, and how much alcohol is "a lot". Unless you specifiy these things, the question is unanswerable. Not all men drink. Not all men drink "a lot". I have a shot of vodka maybe once a month. My brother drinks one cocktail with dinner most days. Are you talking about people who consume a fifth of whiskey a day? These are not most men.
And yet there does seem to be something fundementally human about wanted to alter our states of perception. There has been almost no culture throughout all of human history that failed to invent a way to intoxicate itself. What is hardwired into our brains that make us want to see things from another point of view, to see us through, and now I think I'm going to falllllll
Lord I hope this isn't alllllll
And on top of that, I hope it's not the last time, last time.

Some people take alcohol, because of mental tensions. Some people, especially men, take alcohol, because they want to make lot of friends. The person who takes to drinks, might be thinking that only when he drinks, he is proud to say he is a man - otherwise he is woman-like. Somehow he wants to exhibit his manly qualities.

People drink alcohol to lose inhibitions... Men or women. I've seen women drink more than men, it all depends on the person and how insecure they are.

With the way the world is today and the way alcohol is so legal and all, it is easy to do. It makes you feel pretty good, no inhibitions and gives you the nerve to do and say things you couldn't find the courage to do before.

I have no idea. I know that in the Bible, alot of the men drank wine, and it doesn't mention women drinking.

because when they were kids they saw that their dad drank a lot so they learned that when they grew up they were supposed to drink a lot and be "macho".
