If you're in St. Louis, don't fly from Lambert, fly from MidAmerica (O'Fallon, IL) to Sanford, FL, which is 30 mins. north of Orlando. They have a super low-cost carrier there (Allegiant Air) with $119/each way flights, and they often have sales as low as $79/each way. The only problem is that they don't fly every day...so if you're flexible, you can save a lot!

Travelocity. Just sign up for an account (free) and put your favorite cities on the list. You'll be emailed when the tickets go down in price. I've gotten emails from them with fares from Denver to Orlando for $114.

orbitz.com, cheapseats.com, try the airline sites, most offer non published fares, but a warning tho, you will more than likely end up traveling from orlando, to atlanta, to detroit, to denver, then to either st louis or kansas city. and it could take you longer to gfet there flying, than driving or taking a bus.
one time i had a free round trip fight to anywhere i wanted to go, i didnt really want to go anywhere and had never flown before, i had friends in nashville tn, i lived in indianapolis, so i thought i would just fly dow to see them, instead of driving....tooke me 9 hours to fly when i could have driven it in 4. so plan this out carefully.

check with the airline websites directly. I usually get a better deal than if I go travelocity.com or expedia.com.
