Well technically I like the game show games like Famliy Fued and $25,000 Pyramid a lot too but since they don't have a board I didnt count them in the equation.

1. Chess
2. Scrabble
3. Monopoly
4. Baulderdash
5. Cranium
6. Trivia Pursuit
7. Electronic Stratego
8. Shogun (risk type game)
9. Mad Magazine Game
10. Taboo, Tribond, 20 Questions

I would love to know what made Monopoly such a universally-loved game. I have to agree that Monopoly is high on my list. I also like Talisman (although I think once you've added in all of the add-ins, it's too cumbersome) and Risk.

Either Monopoly or Scrabble. Monopoly exercises the more analytical side of my brain, while Scrabble is more of a right-brain game. So, they're both my favourites.

Cranium! I love Cranium- it's a newer game (well compared to Monopoly) and very emmbarissing but ton's of fun to play with a lot of people.
