Where is it? It's pretty well impossible to get a mouse without some kind of a trap because they can squeeze through the tiniest of holes.

If it ran out of your bedroom, close the door and put a towel underneath it so at least you can get some sleep. Or if it's still in your bedroom, close the door and put a towel underneath it and sleep on the couch in the living room.

The saying "scared to death" really does apply to mice... you can frighten them to death. So start screaming loudly as though the Chainsaw murderer is in your house and see if it kills the mouse. Startling them can cause them to have a heart attack. Stomp around too, make lots of commotion and it'll hide.

My best to you. I hate mice too. If you don't have a cat, see if your neighbor does and borrow it. That's the best way to get rid of them.

PS - if you're in a chair with your feet up, get comfortable because that's probably going to be your bed tonite. lol

oh that's cute! did you know my mother tried to catch a mouse once and she actually scared the poor thing to death? seriously, she was making hell in the garage, lifting and bashing boxes. She wouldn't give in til she found that little blitter. ANyway, turns out she lifted this stack of newspaper and found it lying there flat and dead lol. Apparantly she gave the mouse a heart attack. So yes, you can try scaring the thing to death. HOwever, if i was you, i'd try a way of trapping it and keeping it as a pet heehee. Try a smooth slippery jug with a piece of fruit in it with a stack of books next to the jug so the mouse and climb in and can't get out . Then you can give the creature away as a present for your neice or sell it to a petshop for a dollar or 2 ; ) Or if you really want the little thing dead, buy a poisen rat bait and leave it in your room

my mother is the same way if not worse. Mice wont hurt you. Even if it crawls up into bed with you youll be fine. My suggestion is just to make sure that the covers arent touching the ground and youll be fine. The mouse probably left the room once you turned on the light anyway.

I have been in your shoes for almost a year. We have rats and they just do not go away. You must make sure all entrances into your house are sealed so they can't come in again. We've tried exterminators, snap traps, humane traps, poison, etc. And we STILL have them. :(
The only good thing is our dogs just love to eat them so they don't go near my bed since they are scared of my dogs...
I am so sorry to hear this and I wish you luck...

That mouse is more scared of you than you are of him - you think you're scared... he's proabably outside knocking his mousey knees...

sleep with a night light and tell your hubbie you saw a critter

you'll be fine

LOL well you could:

Stand on a stool and scream.
Call 911 and tell them a mouse is holding you hostage.
Go to a hotel.
Make friends with it and do each other's hair.

The mouse is probably already in a wall by now....but just sleep on the couch if it bothers you that much.

rent a hotel room, call a exterminator in the morning. if your terrified of them get out of the house cause a door will not keep it out of the rest of the house. they live in walls.
