There is no way of checking when it was last accessed exept for by the Yahoo! Mail Staff. If you are worried about your friend doing things with your mail, you could just change your Yahoo! Mail password (be aware, this would also change your Yahoo! Instant Messanger Password).

To access that information, I believe you need a subpoena.
How do I know? I tried doing that with Hotmail way back, and they told me what I just told you. Get your subpoena, and you have the right to access that information.
If the above doesn't suit you, try marking old mails as unread to see what's opened.
