I myself am not homosexual. But I find it weird why some people choose to discrimate against homosexuals. What's so wrong with them that people have to judge so harshly against them? I want to see from the other side.

Why can't gays go to heaven? They say the Divine Lord has control over everything. Then he must have made gays. I am a Christian yet I feel no reason to discriminate against homosexuals. They were made to be this way. Why can't people just leave it as it is rather than harm them?

People fear what they don't understand. Sadly sometimes they fear it so much that fear is twisted into hate. They also fear it because they only hear bad sterotypes and are ignorant to the truth or uneducated. In time this will change as more people learn about the GLBTQ issue and the unfair judgemental treatment stop, or at least most of it. People should not fear true love, love is good. There should be more love not less in the world.

On the other side there are open-minded and close-minded people on both sides. Even today some lesbians and gay people discrimate against bisexuals. Thankful this issue is be addressed by many people in the GLBTQ community and people are being educated to the bi myths and stopping them.

Discrimination is based upon prejudice, which assumes characteristics about a class of people without actually having made the effort to understand them. As an example, there are people out there who insist that being gay or lesbian is a choice. How any person in their right might mind could believe that someone would choose to be something that will cause them to marginalized by so many is beyond comprehension. Then there are those that refer to being gay or lesbian as an alternative lifestyle. These people obviously do not have any understanding of what a lifestyle is. Living in Malibu is a lifestyle. Living in Manhattan is a lifestyle. Living out in the country far away from civilization is a lifestyle. These amount to ways that people have chosen to live their lives (see my remarks about choice above).

In short, discrimination and prejudice is based solely upon ignorance. It is admirable that you seek to understand these people so that you cannot be accused of discriminating against them. :-)

Because some people teach that the bible says it's wrong to be gay or lesbian.

the problem is that most people don't take into consideration when the bible was written. Back then when countries went to war they lost breading aged men by the thousands, and there weren't enough of them to go around.

Now that people are breading like cockroaches that need to keep the men out of each others tents isn't quite so important but people are still trying to hold on to some piece of that bible that just keeps getting more and more out dated.

If they'd just lighten up their grip on the dang bible they might just accidentally let the sucker fall open and read the darn thing for themselves and stop letting people tell them what it says and what it means. Then there would be a LOT less concern about who's gay and who's going to hell.

I'm old enough to remember when girls were not allowed to wear pants to public schools because of what the bible says about women wearing men's atire.

The whole thing amazes me to tell you the truth, but then I've read the bible. Mathew Mark Luke and John all told the same story about what Jesus did and had to say about things.

Beyond that you pretty much have to trust that the leaders of the churches weren't just putting pen to parchment to control their congregations behavior.

Just wait till all of us gender freaks start crawling out of the shadows. You think the gays and lesbians take a bible belt beating? you ain't seen nothing yet.

Some people try to BS and say that it is against their religion. But for the most part, people are afraid of things they do not understand. Or, they have some latent homosexual feelings that haven't been dealt with and they are projecting that discomfort onto people who have dealt with their own sexuality. I look forward to an honest response from someone who discriminates against homosexuality.

One of the least important things about a person is the sex of the person they choose to sleep with.

im gay myself but knowing that some people hate us for our sexuality only, i dont really feel like telling it to people the truth about my sexuality. i guess the reason, why people discrimate, is they dont really know so much about homosexuality and bisexuality.
i know this is going to sound stupid, but i can take X-Men as an example. the mutans are the gays and the bis and the humans are the straight ones..

People discrimnate in all walks of life, because people have this pre-concieved notion of what they regard as the 'norm' and anyone who doesn't fit that category they discriminate against. To a certain extent it's human nature, because we all discriminate in one way or another. The main thing is to be comfortable in who you are and then when others judge or discriminate it is their problem, not yours.

Some people are afraid of what they don't know. Some are afraid that it is caching or that the person might hit on them. Some see it as a biblical thing (which I disagree with as it is biological). Some are closet homosexuals themselves and are afraid of their own attractions or of being outed by the other person.

the quick answer is that individuals discriminate because they could, blanket hatred on the bottom of race or faith are increasingly better frowned upon at the moment, so gays are the only minority adverse to who it truly is socially proper to be bigoted. Bigots do not pick a reason, they make those up after the reality, all they pick is a objective.

The people who discriminate, are not only stupid, they are afraid that they might be homosexual themselfs, thus becoming the thing they "hate" the most.

Because they don't go to Heaven why the heck do you think I am a gay basher? Some gay people become straight and want to go to Heaven.
