In the middle is about right... it may be a little higher if your air conditioning in on... if it gets to 3/4 you probably have a problem..

in the middle,if it gets higher turn on the heater to remove excess heat from the coolant,I've seen the temperature go down 20-30 F by running the fan 2 minutes.

should be toward the middle, but maybe a little bit toward hot.
if you're running hot, your thermostat might be stuck or you might have the wrong thermostat for the envirnment.
but it's probably bad and needs replaceing.
but first, make sure you have coolant in the car and make sure your radiator hoses aren't leaking.
till you get it fixxed, if your car is getting too hot do not run the air conditioner.
that will make it over heat faster.
don't get into any traffic jams till it's fixxed.

it will probably be at about the half way point of the gauge.. it will go up and down as you stop and go. it will rise a little when you stop because of the back pressure then when you give it rpm,s it will or should come back to around half way

lower half to middle never on the top because that means your thermostat isn't opening and your car could be close to overheating

ALSO IF U HAVE A FAN CLUTCH TYPE IT COULG BE WEARING OUT AS THAT WILL LEAD TO THE FAN NOT TURNING AT THE PROPER SPEED

what kind of gage do you have i would say in the middle if its in the red zone then it needs to be looked into
