The decline of the American Education system tells me the world is going the other way.

I seriously don't think that will ever happen. There is a balance that is needed between the poor and wealthy, and I say this as a middle class citizen.

Ideally, it would be wonderful if no one ever knew what the word poverty is. But, this is not an idealistic world. To me, the most important people in the world are the ones who work minimum wage jobs with little (or no) college education. Think about it...
There would be no plumbers to fix your crapper when it goes out.
There would be no one to pick up your trash.
There would be no waiters/waitress or fast food attendants.
There would be no janitors in public or corporate buildings.
(And the list continues)...

So, in my opinion, I think that IF the human race were all educated and had wealthy jobs, the world would be one crappy mess to live in.

This is an interesting question, by the way, and I'm a bit curious to see how others will respond to it.

The balance of the human race will be broken, many educated people will be available but not enough jobs will suit them, the whole "rich and poor" "Feed and Starvation" "Good and Evil" are all balanced by nature, and too many educated people will mean nobody will be digging our ditches for 9 dollers an hour or cleaning our dishes for minimum wage, unless there are so many wducated people that they invent products that will be used to fill the jobs that the uneducated are now doing.

If by education u mean, academics only, sorry it won't have any impact. But if you mean the intellectual and moral upliftment, we will have no more of Iraqs, Afghanistans etc. etc.
