I would have to say the Nick Berg beheading, and I was a Firefighter/Medic for many years and seen allot of stuff, so I am normally numb to many tragic events but the realization of what this world has come to was simply horrifying.

The worst thing I ever saw or experienced was when I walked up on this big, fat, black woman taking a dump in the woods. It looked like a big Georgia Water Melon that was split open and the seeds were being spit out.
I still have night mares about it ! Whoaaa !

I drive a truck for a living. The worst thing I've ever seen was a woman pinned under her car and her two children being airlifted from the scene.

I saw this guy once punching this young lab pup right in it's face. He was being really mean to him, trying to put him in some kind of big tackle box in the back of his pick up truck on a hot summer day at the lake. We watched from a distance until my husband and two other on-lookers approached him about it. He said the dog had tried to bite him, but it was only a young dog. I was in tears to watch this monster brutally beat on this defenseless animal. I reported him, but it nothing ever became of it. (imagine that) :(

From the Texan Republican Party Platform for 2004.

Homosexuality-- The party believes that the practice of sodomy tears at the fabric of society, contributes to the breakdown of the family unit and leads to the spread of dangerous communicable diseases.

Homosexual behavior is contrary to the fundamental, unchanging truths that have been ordained by God, recognized by our country’s founders and shared by the majority of Texans.

Homosexuality must not be presented as an acceptable “alternative” lifestyle in our public education and policy, nor should “family” be redefined to include homosexual “couples”.

We are opposed to any granting of special legal entitlements, recognition of privileges including, but not limited to, marriage between persons of the same sex, custody of children by homosexuals, homosexual partner insurance or retirement benefits.

We oppose criminal penalties or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values.
