They've become classier and smarter...and way funnier.
SNL used to be funny...then they went hollywood.

mad tv is truly funny everyshow. snl is rather dry most of the time

Mad TV is good; but I don't vote off SNL just yet.
I agree that the SNL cast and writers care and focus more on snagging huge salary Hollywood deals than on the degree of how funny/entertaining their material really is.
Mad TV crew and writer staff realize this; they're learning from SNL's mistakes. Mad TV is passionate about their work...and that catalyst passion merits the very rewards SNL is out-focusedly struggling to get.
Only when the SNL cast and crew fully accpet and realize this, is when we'll see things change.....perhaps even see a touchdown SNL full-glory comeback.

Mad TV all the way! I'm missing some of their characters but they've replaced the old ones with alot of great new characters and people! Man I love that show...SNL used to be funny way back in the day but they're too silly for me now!

I used to enjoy both, now I can't tolerate either. Try some classic Python if you want smarter and funnier. Even In Living Color was funnier than current Mad TV and SNL.

I watch 'em both. Mad tv comes on first and when it is over I watch SNL. Saturday Night Live was much better in the old days. I always watched it when I was babysitting.

I think they both aren't as good as they used to be but I say mad tv is funnier.
