It is suppose to be South Africa. However, recent reports have officials worried about where the games will be played and how the venues are coming along. Several of the new stadiums are behind schedule or have yet to be started. FIFA has asked the United States' soccer officials to have plans ready for game sights, times, and appropriate regional set-ups for the 2010 World Cup if it looks like South Africa won't be ready. Apparently a regular overview of South Africa's progress will be given to FIFA and their decision on 2010's host nation will come no later than 2008.

It's supposed to take place in South Africa, but FIFA recently said that it might not because they are behind schedule. They are also worried that there will not be enough places to accommodate the fans and that transportation is very limited. If South Africa is not prepared, FIFA said that it would take place in either USA or Germany.
