There is a photo of a protester with a sign that says "would somebody please give Bush a b***j** so we can impeach him!". It's a good point. If the Republicans can ruin Clinton for an affair, it seems like the rest of us could get Bush for waging war and killing so many people, not to mention completely ignoring the constitution. Yes the Republicans are in majority, but Bush is SO immoral and has done SO many terrible things, it seems like we ought to be able to get him impeached. I am so frustrated. Ideas?

Real suggestions! I mean the fellow has waged a preplanned war on a bunch of lies, killed thousands of Americans (dare I mention 9/11?), stomped all over the constitution proclaiming himself answerable to no one, strongly repressed media and any kind of questioning on any line he is taking- goodbye freedom of expression, press, speech, and protest. He has robbed from the poor (Medicaid, etc) to pay the rich. And any relation with what comes out of his mouth and the truth is random if not inversely proportional. If congress can't save us, if we can't hold him in line with impeachment, do we have to rise up like the French revolution and behead him? Does anyone have a real suggestion?

In the next election once Democrats
become majority in the house.
we will finally have subpoena power to find out what really happened.
in Iraq war intelligence,
in warrentless wire tapping
in Valery Plame
Remember ONE party controls the Executive Legislative and Judicial...........
what kind of checks and accountability is that.
and this administration has been effective in silencing the free press......the last real check on power.....
BUT elections are coming and we will bring balance to the force......

You might be able to bring him up on charges of bribery by the oil industry if you could find evidence. Impeachment must be the result of a crime. It was not the sexual act that got Bill Clinton nearly impeached, it was the charge of perjury to a grand jury and obstruction of justice with relation to the sexual act.
In the United States, impeachment can occur both at the federal and state level. At the federal level, different standards apply when the impeachment involves a member of the executive branch or of the judiciary (and dispute currently exists over the use of impeachment against members of the legislative branch.) For the executive branch, only those who have allegedly committed "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors" may be impeached. Although treason and bribery are obvious, the Constitution is silent on what constitutes a "high crime or misdemeanor." Several commentators have suggested that Congress alone may decide for itself what constitutes an impeachable offense. The standard for impeachment among the judiciary is much broader. Article III of the Constitution states that judges remain in office "during good behavior," implying that Congress may remove a judge for bad behavior. The standard for impeachment of members of the legislature is/would be the same as the Executive standard, "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."

I could not agree more and I have even ask this exact question here. I am beginning to seriously feel like we are not going to make it through two more years of him.
It just seems like there should be some option available to the ppl when a madman has control of our government.
I used to think that Cheney would be worse so to leave Bush there but at this point that doesn't matter. Because I think getting rid of him would be a signal to the world that we have woken up and are ready to fix this mess the honorable way.

You'd think so, but then again, he's overthrown two oppresive regimes in the middle east. He brought the war on terrorism outside of the US onto their territory. He's making a real effort to fight terrorism, promote democracy, and make the world a better place. Also consider, that in the amount of time we've been in this war, less people have died in that amount of time than in any other war. In the Civil War, more people died in 1 day than in 3 years of the war in Iraq.

It is a bit late to address this topic. I have watched the US drift toward a conservative aggressive stance over many years. We have reached the point where we may face a 12th hour declaration of a national emergency extending Bush's term in office.
Americans have been losing their rights bit by bit for decades. Where was the resistance then?

I don't remember Clinton being ruined.
If you are old enough to vote , you will have your chance.
That is the way to change things.
Don't forget Majority of Americans voted him in.
I would think you would back your country.

His party controls congress and the senate. They would not dare vote to impeach him! Since he is from their party and all. It seems that politicians are only loyal to their party anymore and not the people!

Don't vote for Kerry in the next election either. They're both Skull&Bones members.
