Not bad enough.

Seriously, I always wish for more pain whenever I'm getting inked.

But it depends where you get the tattoo. Arms, back, calfs (calves?) ... all moderate. I hear it hurts like hell on the ankle and collarbone.

I have one on the back of my neck (minor pain), left kidney area (moderate pain), and right hip (very little pain).

I think the face hurts really bad--or so I've been told.

Not bad at all depending on the placement. Shallower areas (like your ankle bone), and areas not that exposed to much abuse (underside of your arm) hurt like hell...but the rest is just a constant light pinch or sting...you get used to it after a while, and the outline is generally the worst part.

Depends on where you get it... I have one on my back shoulder blade that didn't hurt a bit. The one above my left breast hurt when it got too close to my armpit. The one ON my right breast didn't hurt at all... lots of flesh there. The one on my inner right ankle hurt when it was close to the ankle bone, but other than that, it was fine.

Basically, areas that have skin that isn't exposed much or is close to bony areas may hurt more than skin that touches clothing a lot or is exposed a lot or is extremely fleshy. That's just my experience.

depends where u get it (on the body) Is the skin is strtched taut then it feels like a sunburn. if its somewhere a little fatty it hurts quite a bit because they have to dig the neddle to get a deep impression. And it all really depends on your individual tolerance for pain.

The pain comes second to what women experience while giving birth to child. So it is not all that bad..
