No. quite the opposit. REM or Rapid Eye Movement is a shallow part of your sleep cycle. You dream in REM cycle.

REM sleep is not deep sleep. Otherwise your eyes would not be able to move, or take instructions from the brain.

REM is not deep sleep. It is light sleep when dreams occur. (I think)
