I guess it depends on your definition of rapacious aggression. To me, that would mean they would stop pussy-footing around, and just take over that whole region of the middle east. It would be a pretty stupid thing to do, but that's what rapacious aggression is all about. They seem to have an attitude of " We don't want to start a war, but if you want to start one, we'll END it !" Having neighbors that proclaim they want you all dead and will push you into the sea could foster that sort of attitude.
As to history, that seems to depend on whose books you're reading. A lot of people on both sides are using their version of history to defend whatever it is they are doing. Some of it can't be defended that way, anyway. But about the only thing I'm pretty sure of from the histories I've read is that people have been fighting over that whole region for as long as there have been people to write about it, and probably long before that !

Do you hate Israels "rapacious aggression" or do you hate "rapacious aggression"?
You do not know your history too: Jews were expelled from their Land 2000 y ago by Romans and had problems refusing to take on the Roman religion. They had similar issues 70-100 years earlier with Greek occupation and their refusal to go Greek... The slavery in Egypt is also seems to be a historic event and was over 5000 years ago...
As to the term "Semitic": it does refers to both Arabs and Jews in its original meaning. However, through the 2000 years of Christianity in Europe those were mostly Jewish people, those who were expelled by Romans and never permitted back till in 1948 the UN decided to give them 2 parcels of land, smaller then our New Jersey, to establish an Independent state who were called Semites. And the term was referred to the people of jewish religion.
Those were all 10 states of Arabs : Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan etc who sent armies to the borders in 1948, 1967 etc etc.
Israelis haven't been doing much but defending their little piece of land.
Is that is aggression then what will we call what we have been doing: Europeans, Asians, Africans taking over the land of Native Americans?
Or is it that they went down quietly?
Didn't the Vic kings took over lands? Didn't Arabs took over?
Barbers? Persians?
So, Is it Israel you hate or do you hate aggression?

I was raised Jewish, my parents of ashkenazi heritage, but I am very Americanized, a New York City dweller, and proud of it - and agnostic. I try hard to be objective in things like this, while keeping biased and demeaning language out of my comments - which I think is important.
I personally disagree with Israel's apparent motivations, but not so much their actions. Their motivations clearly seem to be 'We want a reason to attack our enemy-neighbors without having the world breathing down our throats.' As for *what* they are doing, its ballsy, and I can always appreciate that, and besides it reeking of actual agression (not like they have any real desire to sue for peace given the history of the area), I think it was inevitable, and that it is better to happen sooner than later - maybe.
I am not an anti-semite (I use the word in its modern and accepted meaning, essentially jew-hater), at least, I don't FEEL like one, and I hope I am not coming off as one just because I do not agree with a country's actions. I disagree with many of America's actions and that doesn't make me an American-hater.
I don't describe them as 'Jews', just like when I am talking about Syria or Iraq, I don't say 'Arabs' and when I am talking about France I do not say 'Europeans'. When I talk about the Israelis I say Israelites - that is proper and language that is freer of bias, implied and perceived, than 'Jews' and I think ***THAT*** distinction makes me neutral towards Israel's actions, and I believe that is the difference between an anti-semite disagreeing with Israel, and an objective and unbiased speaker talking about Israel.

It doesn't. There are many jews who are anti-Isreal. Noam Chomsky is a famous one. Isreal is important to the US, it is a certain ally in the middle-east, and is very advantageous politically and economically. Hating Israel's rapacious aggression make a person more anti-american than anti-semetic I think. It's like being a modern communist.

In my suggestions - to be anti israel is a political factor -- it capacity which you're against the two some or all of Israels strikes or its exisitance as a rustic in the way that it got here approximately 60 years in the past... on the comparable time recognising that the jewish human beings do have a connection with that land.. you would be of any back floor or faith and be anti israel in terms of politics... to be anti semitic is to hate or dislike somebody in straightforward terms via fact they're jewish .. be them a convert, religious or non working in the direction of... its additionally to have self assurance that all of us jews are controling the media , banks etc, or that we've got not have been given any declare to israel or that we arent ideal jews via fact we are all khazars etc im beneficial you recognize the stuff.... i think of this toddler falls into the anti semitic catagory better than the anti Israel one - he doesnt sound like hes the right age to truly understand the politics of the full factor... in case you could - identity attempt to chat to this toddler and locate out the basis of his subject concerns and hatred... better than possibly its come from his mothers and fathers, church or lifestyle ordinarily... youd be shocked how the main tolerant human beings on the floor are the main racist under... attempt to describe and teach him the differance between jews and israel...yet despite you do - dont post with any destiny rantings - extraordinarily if hes previous enought to appreciate greater effective... if hes no longer prepared to pay attention - basically save away yet arise for your self too and dont take from now on crapp... do no longer forget that what is going on in Israel isn't justification EVER EVER for hating on us jews or for giving us abuse... and that toddler needs to examine that... Buddha reported that individuals hate and lash out while they're suffering.. so in case you could attempt to sense sorry for this toddler and his mothers and fathers.... desire that facilitates ?
