Dude, I had the same question and heard the same thing. Criminal Justice isn't really a prestigious degree. I could've became a cop without my AA. I guess it starts paying off when you get a BA in Criminal Justice and want to advance to Det. more $$$. but an AA degree in AJ isn't really a practical degree.
