Serious answers. What would you REALLY do? If they had already totally quit cutting, and were totally over the issues and depression. It's all in the past. Would you still be freaked out? Would it keep you from being interested in a girl? Would you think they were crazy?

me personally id be frightened, not by the cutting, but because of that whole "Void" thing. Usually when you have to give up a bad habit, you have to fill that "Void". I dont want to be that void because I have problems with a woman who is TOTALLY dependent on me.

If you find someone, make sure that they're someone who can provide the attention that you need. If not, there will become problems or even worse, a break-up, and there is a strong chance that you'll resort back to cutting. Make sure he'll be there for you.

my ex gf was a cutter. she was still cuttin when were together. I had some troubles with the depression and low esteem thingy, but it was also an opportunity to show i would be there and support her. It depends on the guy. For me, I guess yea, of course, I would date her if im into her. It takes hard stuffs to really freak me out cuz im freaky as well.Anyway, she grew out of it in the end and...um....broke up with me. lol.

im kind of in the opposite situation. well, sort of. one of my guy friends used to cut himself. he told me a couple of years after he stopped. i was a little freaked out/scared at first, because he was the first person who told me something like that. it wouldnt keep me from being interested in him, because i know he would be honest/open. i dont think he is crazy...all i can do is be there for him. =].

The past is the past. As long as they're not cutting anymore it's all good. If they start again then I'd worry.

well i am in that situation my girlfriend was and sometimes still is, im still with her helping her every step of the way, with her over the counter drug abuse, of nyquil and ****, and also with her cutting i love her so much and she really means alot to me and i am helping her through every bit of it, cutting is an addiction just like ciggerettes, cocaine, and alcholo(first hand accounts) and the only thing u can do with someone when they have or had that proble is accept the fact, and support them and help them not do it agin.................

No a person should understand **** happens and everyone has/had their reasons so it should not bother someone if they really are a person worth knowing
