They have a high level of incompetence. They buy the fast bikes so that they will beat some cars and get an ego boost. They should also remember, that when they piss somebody in a car off, they don't have a nice protective shell around them.

I can not tell you how many times I have had cars pull up to a light with me and rev the engine at me. No matter which bike I have ridden in the past, the car has always tried to initiate the race. I ride an 1800 now, and have had crotch rockets try to start a race with a cruiser....just pathetic. I like slow and show....let people see the chrome. :)

Lol bikes are not cheap, I mean you can get a "slow" car with that money so that is the reason why, because they bought a faster means of transport for the same price.

yes, slow cars, fast cars, anything on the road. and why? because it's fun as hell to blow the doors off everything on the road. nothing can hang with a crotch rocket.

hm well they are cheap, and great on gas. and at some colleges you don't have to pay the ridiculous prices for a parking permit, but most of those people have a car also. why they race slow cars, because most are peopel who think they are street racers, and drive civics, and its jsut fun to leave the wannabes in the dust.

depends who starts the race? but 80% of the time cars do so why would you ask that question if you are a rider?

Every person is different. You'll have to ask them. Prepare a cardboard sign with your question, and keep it in the car with you. When they drive by, flash it at them.

Are you sure that they're trying to race? Or are they just taking off faster than you?
