i would assume you mean ascites? probably due to the malabsorption of the intestine (in the case of crohns disease) causing the liver to back up and fail. ascites are usually a sign of the liver failing or not working hard enough. although i havent seen any cases of crohns dx people having ascites, but maybe then i havent seen really prolonged cases of crohns?
