Bush is the WORST president this country has had.

Well Gore would be an improvement, but not an answer. What would he do for us?

1. Perhaps begin regulating corporations for safety and emissions again. Things would DRASTICALLY improve if we did this. Enron would never happen again.
2. Reintroduce reform to the medical care system to make sure health care is sort of affordable. Regardless of what others say, if you can't get health care, then that is a problem if you are lazy or not.
3. Bring back the national guard to defend our country and not Iraq. Let's face it, we are safer with the National Guard here than in Iraq. Most terrorism in the US is committed domestically and often times by white supremacist groups.

Okay, those things would be great and I would applaud those things, but he wouldn't do a damned thing (I don't think) about our foreign policy of preventative war. All power hungry states had some kind of "preventative" warfare. Us attacking Iraq because they may have had nuclear weapons is like Nazi Germany running over Poland because the Nazis considered Poland a threat [to their power].

If you want a good read on the topic of US foreign policy, nobody does it like Noam Chomksy. Hegemony or Survival spells out our foreign policy and its effects to the letter. Regardless of your opinion on Chomsky and his personal life, it doesn't make his writing any less truthful.

Now for ignoring Bush's inability to lead us responsibly, keep in mind most of the people who support him applaud his "down to earth" (stupid) nature. Bush is as much of a Texan as Kerry or any of the other WASPs in Washington. Hell, Bush and Kerry both went to Yale and got shitty grades (pretty hard to do if you are rich like them).

It is all advertising and spinning. If Bush continually laughs at himself, the idea is to make us think it is a joke while he is a careful leader. In reality, I find his antics are only a side show to give Democrats blanks to shoot at Republicans. You need only watch one of his speeches to understand what I mean. He uses very lofty concepts like "terrorism" and "freedom" while he drones on with his rhetoric. Hitler did it and so did Stalin. They used interchangeable labels with a double standard just like our government does. If you don't find this disturbing, I advise you to just forget everything you have been force-fed about American politics and look at the situation unbiased.

People are blind to reality because they refuse to believe and acknowledge that this country is going down the tubes so to speak. This country is in the worst shape it has ever been. 5% of the nation controls 95% of the wealth. 95% of the nation is left to fight over that last 5%. Companies are left unregulated and are allowed to stomp all over the economy and on small business trying to get a foot in the door. Also, the republican party has been using this "base" issues such as abortion, gay marriage, flagburning etc. This issues are not what I consider major issues at the top of my list. What about a record number of college students going into deep debt? What about record high gas prices? What about illegal immigration? They use meaningless issues to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people.

First, I am glad Bush has done the right things. You may not agree, but it was the right choices. How would Gore do things better? Would he sell rocket secrets to N.Korea in order to shut that crazy nut up? Would he get on his knees and beg global terrorists to stop their insanity. The time to talk is over. Bush did good for making the best and most obvious choice.

I see lots of Bush stickers around town but only from Republicans. Furthermore, even Republicans aren't bothering to defend Bush anymore....what can they possibly say? It's too bad things like Katrina didn't occur before this last election because we DEFINITELY wouldn't have Bush as our President then.

There is only 30% of the people who will follow him over the edge.

They are the same that believe Sadam was involved in 9/11,

They are the same that believe mustard gas is the WMDs that our troops and innocent civilians have died for....

They believe that Jesus, would want a war in Iraq for oil, that Jesus want them who have sinned. to toss the first stone...in judment

I dont know. I also don't know why people only take their information from the local paper or CNN and don't look into any historical aspects to this, or investigate it all on their own. they just buy into whatever the media tells them to. I still haven't figured out what he lied about. Anything he says he bases on intelligence reports he has at the time.
