They fight each other because of opposing ideals. Most of our modern day ideals and religions came from the middle east. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all originate there. They have not been brainwashed by the west. The culture in the middle east is a culture that is resistant to change whereas western culture is not.

If the West were doing the brain washing, wouldn't Arabs be marching in the streets praising the U.S. instead of calling for it's destruction, and cheering the deaths of thousands of Americans on 9-11? Now who brain washed who?

It's not the West who's at fault for their backwards human steps in evolution, unfortunately complicated by global oil wealth ( God: he's such a kidder, isn't He? ), which many surrounding OPEC countries feel resentful they haven't been shared into the trillion $$$$ oil industry.
Ah-haaah! OPEC : could be a clue why the mid-East are busy trying to kill each other. Iraq notwithstanding, as long as they don't try going nuclear ( Israel notwithstanding....we hope) I don't care if they shoot and / or sword themselves to death.
My only wish is they keep things cool till GWB goes out the White House; otherwise, another war can keep him in "overtime"....perhaps another honey warmed idea the Prez and his team may have (just to keep the $$$$ flowing where it shouldn't)??????
