I wish I could tell you that I liked it but unfortunately I'm really bad with math. When I was in high school I have Honors English classes and barely got through algebra.

I'm Australian and I like calculus.
I think most people associate most maths with a pile of questions on a board that you have to get done before class finishes, but when you start to get into it you can play around with numbers and get some very interesting results.
After you've been into it for a while you start looking at everything you see from a mathematical perspective. Most the wierd stuff that doesn't seem to follow any rhyme or reason tends to simplify down to a few simple rules that are just put together in a complex way.

I absolutely loved calculus, even though I wasn't the perfect student in class.

I love all math for several reasons; when you learn it in a logical order, you see just how logical it really is. You'll see that math is also the same in every language--2+2 =4 if you speak English, German, Portugese, Mandarin, or any other language; it's universal!

It's amazing how much I remember about it; maybe not all the formulas, but a lot of the knowledge helps me to approach situations better, and I think has helped me to see a better, more logical approach to solving issues.

Everybody should take math as far as they can; it can only help.

I really like calculus.
It is interesting in and of itself, as it lets the student develop a better understanding of motion and rates of change. It also provides a powerful tool to solve many problems by simple methods that would be difficult or impossible to solve by other techniques.

Also, calculus is very broadly useful in a wide range of fields. Many of these involve science and engineering, but calculus also applies in business and finance and other areas.

Calculus is a practical and interesting subject, an extremely powerful and indispensable tool, and a topic that allows a person to just scratch the surface (i.e., just learn the basics of derivatives), or go into unlimited depth (Analysis, Riemann Integrals, Fourier Analysis, and beyond). I think it's great.

Hmm, tough question. I recently finished my Bach Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and I have done a LOT of advanced calculus. I HATE IT! It ruined my life because every time i see an airplane fly past i just see a bunlde of equations trailing of every part of it.... *cry

I really hate it.... BUT it is a hate I have to swallow! Doing calculus in a nightmare for some people (like me) but it is such and handy tool.... wait let me rather say it is an AWESOMELY POWERFUL UBER tool.

If you understand calculus it can really simplify problems for you - it gives you a logical understanding of things and i love calculus for that... but don't ask me to write a test on it without giving me a month's worth of study time. So even though i hate doing the calculus i actually have a deep love for the beauty of it.

I am from South Africa.

I do.

It's the first thing in Math that I learned where I felt like I really was understanding something fundamental about the world. Besides, I never knew where the equation for the area of a circle really came from until Calculus.

Yes, I really like Calculus. But, I'm a sick twisted geek who chose to go to a engineering school. In fact, I like Calculus so much that I hang out on this site waiting for the chance to answer more questions.

BTW, I'm American and I come from very English/Irish roots.

Huh! Without Calculus the Modern age of Man would be Willy and his Kangaroo LOL.

Everyone should take at least one Calculus class, it can open your mind to the wonders of the the Universe of math hehe 8-)

I really like it. I think that when you're a freshman it helps to expand your mind a lot and that's because you need to create your own concept of the idea of infinity. Limits, integrals, all that stuff is supported by that idea.

However I used to hate the repetitive work for solve some problems; for me, it was just an introduction to a more sophisticated and delightful maths.

I'm from singapore and i really like calculus but that wasnt always the case. I use to detest it because i never understood why i needed it. but when i was in college i finally got it and things fell nicely into place.

I really like Calculus because it is just fun getting limits and derivatives and integrals. I find it enjoyable!!

By the way, I am a Filipino (from the Philippines)
